Q: My refrigerator is not running as efficiently as it is supposed to. What should I do?

A: To maintain proper operation of your refrigerator, you should clean the condenser coils at least twice a year. It should be done more often if there are pets in the home and heavy traffic in the kitchen.

Q: My dryer is taking a long time to dry. Why is this?

A: Most often it is due to lint buildup or an obstruction in the dryer duct. Make sure to clean the lint trap in the dryer after each use to prevent buildup. Birds will create a nest in the line causing a backup. This can be prevented by installing a bird guard on the outside of the vent.

Q: The dishwasher is suddenly not draining and I do not know why.

A: Have you recently installed a garbage disposal? If so, check to see if the plastic plug is in place. Once removed, your dishwasher should begin draining. If no garbage disposal has been installed there may be foreign objects down in the chopper or pump motor.
